Good day my beloved readers. If you noticed, I've posted something about PSA Community with the hashtags #WeAreSiblings and #DontJudgePeople some times ago. So as a part of the community members. Today I would like to talk about our very first event that took place in Engineering Faculty of UiTM Shah Alam on November 29th. It was a 2 hours talk session with the final year Mechanical Engineering students.
It was my first time joining such event and I was responsible in doing the live updates of the event through PSA Network official Instagram @psanetwork . The program's goal was to have a sharing session from both PSA Community and the audience using the hashtags #WeAreSiblings and #DontJudgePeople in order for us to create the awareness of being inclusive and all humans are equal.
The event started with the introduction of what is PSA Community to the audience by our Managing Director Marham. Later the event was continued with the speech by our founder Azreen on why he started this amazing community.
The event went on with sharing sessions from our audiences. We heard and learned a lot from them, one of the audience shared on how she was betrayed by her friends have affected her life. She is now becoming a person who have trust issues and prefer to be alone by herself. Another audience also share her stories on how people around her have judged one of her friends to the extend of not letting her be friend with that friend of hers. Taking a higher road, she took the time to understand why is her friend behaving that way instead of succumbing to society's pressure. She then realized that the hardship that her friend is going through that made her acted that way. Now she knows the reason why, she is more determined to help her friend and not leaving her friend.
It was a wonderful evening and I got to learn a lot from other people. It is true that we can always learn from each other because none of us are walking the same path in this life. All of us have our own short-comings and with event like this, we can at least learn from one another on how to better ourselves and also help other people to better themselves. Because life is about sharing as we all are living under the same sky and breathe the same air. How can we let ourselves see our brothers and sisters go through the hardships in life alone? Always remember that #WeAreSiblings and #DontJudgePeople.
