ILLUMINAKING : 5 Tallest Hotels In The World


Again my friends know about my fascination on architectures so today I'm going to list down 5 tallest hotel in the world. I hope you guys are not confused about this tallest hotel list with highest hotel list. Tallest hotel means that the whole entire building is used as hotel while highest hotel is the location of the hotel which can be occupying several floors within a commercial building. So when we talk about tallest building, structures or any world records in regards of architectures. Majority of them will be located in Dubai. Even in today's list, 4 out 5 tallest hotel in the world are located in Dubai (source by Wikipedia). Let's see which country have that one spot in this list? Let's check them out.

5) Burj Al Arab (Dubai)

Standing at 321 metres, Burj Al Arab is one of the first sky scrapper to make it debut in Dubai. Can you believe that this 5th tallest hotel in the world is almost 20 years old? I can't believe it either. It seems like just yesterday I saw this building being introduce to the world. This 7 Stars hotel's structure resembles the sail of a ship and it is built on an artificial island of its own.

4) Rose Rayhaan by Rotana (Dubai)

Also known as Rose Tower and standing at 333 metres tall. The fourth tallest hotel in the world completed it's construction back in 2007 and was the world's tallest hotel from 2009-2012. The floral element crowning the tower what got it's name as the Rose Tower. Though with inner furnishing completed in 2007, the hotel only began it's operation in 2009.

3) Four Seasons Place (Kuala Lumpur)

The only hotel outside Dubai that made into this list is the 343 metres tall Four Seasons Place in Kuala Lumpur. Currently it is under construction and expected to be completed later this year. It is being built next to the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers. Once completed, it will be the third tallest hotel in the world and the third tallest building in Malaysia. Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur is the first ever Four Seasons Hotel being built in South East Asia.

2) JW Marriott Marquis (Dubai)

Now back to Dubai, standing at 355 metres tall, this hotel is the second tallest hotel in the world the house to JW Marriot Hotel. The twin towers was originally planned to be a single tower but later being built as a twin tower with tower one completed in 2012 and tower two in 2013.

1) Ahmed Abdul Rahim Al Attar Tower (Dubai)

This super tall skyscraper is among of many tallest building in the world and it is actually the 11th tallest building in the world. Standing at 357 metres tall, this tallest hotel in the world is the house of Gevora Hotel. It began it's construction back in 2004 but only completed this year. That was about 14 years of construction. If you noticed, this hotel is located near the Rose Tower. Can you imagine all these super tall building in a city? Good Gawd!

P/S: Soon Pyongyang very own Ryugyong hotel will be making it's way to the top 5 tallest hotel in the world once it's completed I don't know when.
