Monday Mind: How to be Committed?

It's easy to dream or to set your goals but to achieve it is another story. In order for us to get what we want we must work hard for it and for us to work hard, we must be committed! This is where most people failed to do, to be committed! Even I'm having a hard time to commit to my blog and I'm still struggling even I've been updating my blog on daily basis. So do you have that ultimate dream of yours that you want to achieve? Are you ready to go all out? Are you to commit? Let's find on how to be a committed person.

1) Get Our Mindset Right!

Everything begins with the right mindset! Yes nothing can help you unless you have the right mindset. Assumptions and faulty beliefs will derailed you off your course and eventually you'll see life in a negative light.

For us to fully “go all out” and make unprecedented progress, we must first make the big decision from within ourselves and not to hold anything back. We must take a closer look at our lives and decide that nothing is going to stand in our ways of success!

2) Refine Our Goals

It’s hard to commit ourselves to something if our finish line is vague and unclear. So before we do anything, get ourselves clear about how we want the ultimate outcome to look like. Nail down exactly what we want, how are we going to get there and on what sort of timeline we plan to reach our destination.

Plus, we must also set a realistic goal based on our capability. You don't aim to be a world class footballer in a week right?

3) Focus On What's Important

Having the right mindset is not enough if we aren't focus on what is important. Yes we can always set a goal on becoming a singer but if we're only focusing on our visual and not our vocal, it is impossible for us to be a singer. A good one that is.

This is very important especially we are busy with other life commitments like work or our partner. We must be very careful in structuring and decide what is important and also to find balance in life. We need to look after ourselves nonetheless.

4) Hold Yourself Accountable

We are always so very inspired and driven the first two weeks after we set our life goals. Just like the New Year's Resolutions that we've been postponing to decades, we actually need to make way to hold ourselves accountable.

We must track our progress on a daily basis and always check and see how can we improve to make ourselves to achieve our goals more efficiently. Other than that, we must at least tell someone or our partner about our progress. So we can actually have someone to remind us on our progress because sometimes or most of the times, we tend to forget and get lazy. We can also join community with like minded people that share the same goals. This can actually help us to remind each other on how much we've progressed to achieve our goals.

So, that's all I have to share but things are easier said than done. I'm so inspired when writing this but I don't know and still struggling to commit to myself and other things.

P/S: Do share if you have your own ways on being committed!
