MET Gala: Camp Notes on Fashion

It's the first Monday of May in USA and it is time for the Met Gala! This year the Gala is co-chaired by Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele (sorry I didn't get his name in the visual) with the theme Camp: Notes on Fashion! I think it is a great choice to have Lady Gaga to co-chair this year's Met Gala because she literally started and build her career on Camp! The Met Catwalk started with the Campy Queen herself, Lady Gaga had 4 outfit changes and she was on the pink carpet for almost 16 minutes. I mean that's how you made an entrance!

Just when I thought Gaga was extra enough, Billy Porter shows the children on how dramatic an entrance could be. Wearing something that would actually feed last year's theme, Billy was looking like an Egyptian Goddess being carried by hunky peasants. But the Campiness didn't stop there, here comes, Kacey Musgraves as life-size Barbie, Katy Perry as a Chandelier and many more! Camp is fashion and fashion is camp! Some attendees missed the mark by wearing something so basic that people might mistaken them for the security or the waiter there.

My top 5 best dressed are as below:

There is no doubt that the Met Gala belongs to Lady Gaga with 4 outfit changes. She doesn't wear camp because she is camp! I also in love with Billy Porter grand entrance and that make up on Ezra! While most male celebrities disappoint and unbelievably those drag queens (yes RuPaul and her Children Aquaria and Violet) out of all people, we would expect these drag queens to serve us some serious jaw dropping looks but meh. Cardi B is giving us moist sanitary pad couture and it looks so fluffy that I feel like sleeping on it. Lastly, Kacey Musgraves is giving us real life Barbie fresh out of the box. She even have her Barbie hands on and that is commitment!

Other honorable mentions are Katy Perry, Zendaya, Jared Leto, Celine Dion, The Jenner Sisters and many more! Boo to Karlie Kloss for being so boring and out of theme! I mean how can the host of Project Runway be looking like that at the MET? Disgrace!

Now let's wait for next year's theme and hopefully Rihanna will make her comeback.

P/S: There has been some issues with my MET Raya 2019 looks and I'm panicking!
