Fashion Tuesday: Green Fashion

I never heard about sustainable fashion until recently when I heard the local radio PSA about how fast fashion is one of the biggest contributors for the ocean pollution and I started to do some research on it. Then I remembered that H&M had this campaign called ‘Re-wear it’ sometimes ago and M.I.A had a song about it.

I haven’t bought anything from all the retail outlets for quite some times now mostly because I don’t really have the money to do so and now, I prefer to buy stuff from Bundle and Pre-loved shops. If I have the time and motivation (also with extra money) I’ll buy some fabrics and make my own clothes.

In today’s world, I’m trying to help as much as I can for our beloved earth and if it means to stop buying from fast fashion retail, then I’m going to do just that. But I noticed that these fast fashion companies are trying to reduce the impact of their pollution by using recycled fabrics and this is done by H&M. Others are also trying to give back to the community like Cotton On who supported a charity (which I don’t remember which) and I feel like things like this is also helping the world a little bit no?

Okay whatever your views are on sustainable fashion or fast fashion, just don’t be selfish and let’s do our parts in saving our home!

P/S: This covid-19 thing is making me dizzy.
