Let me be honest and say that these early year horror movie releases semua tak best so far. They tried with Night Swim and now Imaginary? This movie actually ada potential to be great because the premise is quite promising because an Imaginary friend seeks being petty and seeking revenge dekat kawan dia yang dah lupakan dia? That's a story right there but then the execution kelaut.
Instead of portraying the Imaginary friend as psychotic possesive paranormal entity, dorang just portrayed it as an entity yang nak simpan kids in the imaginary world. Also the story build up pun very predcitable and boring. The acting lagi lah, keras kejung macam keropok lekor dah semalaman. They also tried to masukkan humor here and there tapi it was too force and borderline cringy.
The death in this movie pun macam terpaksa je. I feel like they finished the movie and realized there's no death in the movie and they just kill one of the character and called it a day. If you guys wanna now what's the movie is about, boleh tengok trailer dekat atas tu and for me this movie tak best. I'm giving it 2/10 stars. The 2 points is for Chauncey the bear because he actually looked cute.
