Wicked: For Good continues the story from the first film adaptation of the Broadway musical, but I honestly still don’t know if splitting the movie into two parts was the best idea. Part two felt both draggy and rushed at the same time — which sounds impossible, but that’s exactly how it plays out on screen. Some scenes lingered a little too long without adding much to the storyline, while others flew by so quickly that I barely had time to process what was happening.
But with all that said, I loved the ending. It was so sweet and heartfelt that I almost shed a tear. And can we talk about Dorothy? For a character so iconic, she added absolutely nothing to the movie. They could’ve just mentioned her and it would’ve made zero difference.
Still, the acting and the singing were top-notch — truly the saving grace of the film. Overall, I definitely prefer the first movie, but Wicked: For Good still delivers a satisfying enough conclusion. I’m giving it an 8/10.
