What's The Tea: Busy Week For A Movie Buff

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for me as a movie lover. I’ve watched nearly every new release I could get my hands on, including Speak No Evil and The Wild Robot—both of which I’ve already reviewed in detail on my blog. But with so many more movies coming out, it’s becoming clear that I need a new strategy to stay on top of everything!

After some thought, I’ve come up with a plan to split my reviews between TikTok and my blog. Here’s how I’ll be tackling things moving forward.

Horror Reviews on TikTok: Quick, Punchy, and Perfect for Thrills

As a huge fan of the horror genre, I’ve decided that TikTok will be the perfect platform to share my thoughts on upcoming horror releases. Horror films often pack a lot of suspense and excitement into short, intense moments—just like TikTok itself. I can quickly break down the key elements of a film, give a verdict, and even throw in a few non-spoiler highlights to get people hooked.

For future horror films, expect to find my reviews on TikTok. I’m excited to experiment with shorter, bite-sized reviews that capture the energy of these films in a more casual and interactive way. Whether they deliver bone-chilling thrills or miss the mark, TikTok will be my go-to space to break them down for my fellow horror fans.

So, if you're a fellow horror junkie, follow me on TikTok for fast and honest reviews on the latest chills and thrills coming to theaters and streaming platforms.

The Blog for Everything Else: Deeper Dives Into Drama, Sci-Fi, and More

While TikTok is perfect for horror, I’ll continue to use my blog for everything else—especially genres that deserve a more thoughtful and detailed analysis. Movies like The Wild Robot, which blew me away with its storytelling and visuals, need room to breathe. Writing in-depth reviews gives me the chance to dive into the nuances of these films and really explore what makes them stand out (or fall flat).

For future non-horror releases—whether it’s sci-fi, drama, or something in between—you can still count on my blog for more comprehensive reviews. I’ll break down everything from performances and direction to themes and visuals. Plus, it’ll be a place where I can compare new releases to older ones, create top-10 lists, or even explore some behind-the-scenes trivia that I find fascinating.

Why the Split?

I’ve realized that cramming multiple reviews into one blog post can make it a bit too lengthy for readers, especially if I’m covering three or four movies at a time. By splitting my content between TikTok and my blog, I can keep things fresh and engaging for different types of audiences. Horror fans can get quick insights on TikTok, while those looking for a deeper analysis can head to the blog for more thorough discussions.

This approach also allows me to stay consistent and avoid burnout. I love writing, but keeping up with all the new releases can be overwhelming. TikTok’s fast-paced nature gives me an easy way to keep up with horror without sacrificing the quality of my longer reviews on the blog.
