We might not agree on certain things in life and in this context our political ideology. But put all that differences aside, today let's take a look at things that we can be proud of (at least) as a Malaysian. I know that majority of us don't even know that we held few world records be it individual, organization, States or Malaysia itself. Now let's have a look at 5 of the world records held by Malaysia/Malaysian.
5) World's Largest Hotel ( First World Hotel Genting Highland)

With 7,351 rooms, First World Hotel Genting Highland is the world largest hotel. Can you imagine all that room on top of a hill? But soon (next year maybe) First World Hotel will pass it's crown to a hotel in Mecca with 10,000 rooms. (Oh lord!)
4) World's Longest chain of people clasping wrists (Negeri Sembilan State Government)

Well you can do just anything to break a world record and Negeri Sembilan State Government did just that. Maybe the purpose was to show solidarity (just being positive) among people of all races or what not. Anyway I'm happy because I'm from Negeri Sembilan and Yasss Negeri Sembilan is in the Guiness World Record. Oh ya, there are 4,222 people involved.
3) World's Largest Free-Flight Walk-In Aviary (KL Bird Park)

Spanning over 20.9-acre, KL Bird Park is the world's larget free-flight walk-in aviary. It means you can have a walk inside a huge bird cage. With about 200 species and 3000 animals living in there, I'm not sure whether KL Bird Park is still the largest or one of the largest covered bird park.
2) World's Tallest Airport Control Tower (KLIA2)

(Photos Credit: Sharil Abdul Rahman)
Well well well, who would have guessed that KLIA2 have the world's tallest airport control tower right? So with height of 133.8 m (438 ft 11.71 in) tall, it was completed on 30 April 2013. The tower was built as part of the new KLIA2 terminal at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, in order to accommodate an increased amount of air traffic. Plus, KLIA2 is the first in Asia to have a skybridge, that bridge where you had a walk-athon just to miss your flight.
1) World's most swimming pools in a resort

Another world record in Negeri Sembilan. Yes Malaysians, Lexis Hibiscus held the world record for most swimming pools in a resort with total of 643 pools. Basically each villas have their own private swimming pool so cheers to that and cheers to skinny dipping. *wink*
P/S: Did you know all these world records are held by us? and yes we still have the world's tallest twin towers.
