Throwback : The Fame Monster Era

Continuing the celebration today, I'm going to talk about the era where everyone started to take Lady Gaga seriously. Released on November 18, 2009, The Fame Monster was actually more of a repackage album instead of a full album. Nonetheless, The Fame Monster was a huge success for Lady Gaga and got her 3 Grammy awards including Best Pop Vocal Album. This album follows the darker side of Fame and the album lead single 'Bad Romance' became one of the most iconic pop song of the decade and topped charts across 20 countries.

Bad Romance was released as the first single on October 27 2009 and the music video that accompanied the song was later voted as best video of the decade. The concept of the video was simple but very high fashion.

Telephone was released on January 26 2010 as the second single from the album. Featuring Beyonce, the song as expected had topped charts across the world and quickly become a pop culture reference with the music video served as the continuation of Paparazzi's video where Beyonce was seen bailing Gaga out of the prison and went on a murder spree.

The third single from the album is Alejandro and was released on April 20 2010. However, Gaga's record label wanted to pust Dance In The Dark as the third single and eventually released it as the album's fourth single in some countries. Alejandro received mix reviews especially the music video where some see a resemblance of Madonna's vogue.

The Fame Monster have additional 8 new tracks aside from the 14 tracks from The Fame. Now lets see what are my favorites from The Fame Monster

Favorite Single : Bad Romance

Favorite Song : Speechless

Favorite Video : Telephone

Personally I think The Fame Monster Era was when Lady Gaga really out did herself and making people wanting more from her.

P/S: Bad Romance was the jam back then and always will be!
