Movie Review: Shazam!

This is by far the best DC movie after Aquaman! If DC keeping up with this pace, I'm sure all the upcoming DC movies will do well in the cinemas! I must admit I was a little bit reluctant to watch this movie because based on the trailer, I feel like this movie is going to be that movie that tried so hard to be funny. Boy was I wrong, the comedy in this movie is acceptable because the characters are children and Shazam himself is basically a 14 year old boy. So whatever he does was genuinely funny and cute.
Since this is based on a comic so the story line is obviously predictable unless you know nothing about Shazam. The action and violence depicted in this movie was also quite extreme I would say and I'm not sure if I'm a 11 year old kid watching this and not feel scared looking at the monsters.
I don't have much to say but I agree that this is the superhero movie DC should have done long ago! I really hope moving forward, DC will produce movies with this quality. It is so fun to watch! 4.5/5 stars!
P/S: I don't know what's going to happen with the DCEU now that Batman & Superman will no longer be Ben and Henry.
