Typhoon Hagibis was considered as the most devastating typhoon to hit the Kanto region in Japan in over 60 years! The typhoon caused a total of 48 landslides in 12 prefectures, said the Japanese government. About half an hour before Hagibis made landfall, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred off the coast of Chiba Prefecture, worsening the dangerous condition even more.
Out of all this catasthrophe, my concern was the cats that inhabit the Okishima Island. I wonder what will happen to them and thankfully the Japanese government has relocated the cats to safety as well. Though safety measures have been taken, it is reported that 36 people are dead and 16 people are reported missing so far.
Climate change is real and I do believe that this is the way that mother nature is taking back what is rightfully hers. As much as I'm devastated with all these natural disasters, but we also need to do our part in keeping the world safe and respect the nature.
P/S: It's been raining like crazy here in KL.
