Let’s rewind to 1998. I was 7 years old, and I remember randomly catching Ray of Light on TV. I didn’t fully understand what Madonna was singing back then, but something about the music, the visuals, and the mood completely pulled me in.
Before long, I found myself dancing to Ray of Light with all the chaotic energy of a child discovering pop music. But it was Frozen that truly froze me (pun intended). Even at that age, I was mesmerized. There was something hauntingly beautiful about it, and honestly, Frozen might just be my all-time favorite Madonna song.
That music video? Mysterious. Elegant. Enchanting. It felt like I was watching a sorceress casting a spell, and the song itself sounded like a soundtrack to some kind of magical realm. As I’ve grown older, that feeling hasn’t changed.
Even now, whenever it’s raining heavily, I grab my earphones, press play on Frozen, and let it carry me away. There’s this ethereal quality to it, as if the world slows down and you’re suddenly floating, suspended in time. I can’t quite put it into words, but if you know, you know.
This track is more than just a song to me, it’s a feeling. A mood. A spell.
So now I’m curious,
What’s your favorite Madonna song, and why?
Let’s share memories and rediscover the magic in her music.
