All-Stars 10: Finale Rucap

Whew, we’ve made it to the end of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 and what a finale. I wish I could say I was jumping out of my seat with excitement, but to be totally real with you all… I’ve kinda been emotionally checked out since bracket 3. Can you blame me? After the merge, we only got TWO episodes before the grand finale? And then 8 queens in the final? Brick!
Let’s break it all down.
Ginger Minj Takes the Crown
Congratulations to our crowned queen, Ms. Ginger Minj! She made herstory as the first queen to win three Snatch Games and now walks away with the All Stars 10 crown. But here's where the fandom seems divided: she won the crown based on a lipsync? I mean, yes, she’s talented, polished, funny, and a Drag Race legend. But let’s be real, Ginger didn’t need this win to prove her worth.
If anything, this victory feels like a double-edged sword. The favoritism shown toward Ginger all season didn’t just impact the competition, it put Ginger’s own reputation under fire. She’s now the center of a controversy she didn’t ask for, and I honestly feel bad for her. The crown is hers, but at what cost?
Jorgeous Was That Girl
If I had it my way, Jorgeous would've sashayed away with the win. She's grown, she’s dynamic, and that lipsync? Baby, she ATE. Even if she didn’t win the crown, she definitely won the hearts of fans this season. And I wouldn’t be surprised if her booking fees just doubled after this.
A Finale Full of… Choices
Let’s talk about it:
8 queens in the finale. That’s a lot.
Only 2 episodes post-merge? Criminal.
Lottery twist to bring back one queen.
A final lipsync showdown that felt more chaotic than climactic.
Yes, everyone brought something unique. But the pacing? The stakes? It all felt rushed. After such a promising bracket-based format, this finale didn’t deliver the payoff we deserved.
Don’t get me wrong, congrats again to Ginger Minj. She’s a drag juggernaut. But this finale left a strange aftertaste. I just hope this controversial outcome doesn’t discourage future alumni from returning to the All Stars stage.
We need these legends to feel celebrated, not used for filler in a bracket gimmick.
So here's to Jorgeous, Lydia, Aja, Irene, Bosco, Daya and Kerri who gave us drama, fashion, and unforgettable moments. Let’s pray All Stars 11 gives us a tighter format and a little less mess.
