We all have those core childhood memories that stay locked away until a single melody brings them rushing back. For me, that trigger is Anggun’s 1997 hit, "Snow on the Sahara." Hearing it today instantly transports me back to being a little kid, glued to the TV screen, completely captivated by a sound I didn’t yet have the words to describe.
Back in the day, if you grew up in Malaysia, NTV7 was a staple of daily life. It was the channel that introduced so many of us to global pop culture. I vividly remember "Snow on the Sahara" being played quite frequently on the station. Every time it came on, I would instantly tune in.
