Foodgasm: KFC Riuh Rempah

I’m the type of person who jumps on every fast-food seasonal menu the moment it drops. But lately, I’ve noticed a pattern at KFC. Does everything taste... the same?
I recently tried the KFC Riuh Rempah, and honestly, if I closed my eyes, I could’ve sworn I was eating the Salted Egg Chicken, the CNY Golden Floss, or even the Japanese Yuzu chicken. It’s a "rempah" mystery. Is there just one giant vat of "seasonal seasoning" in the back that they just rename every few months?
Don’t get me wrong—it tastes good. But "good" isn't the point of a seasonal special; "distinct" is. If you're calling it Riuh Rempah, give me the punch of a Rendang or the soul of a Kuah Kacang burger! The name is so vague that it sits in this weird limbo between Tom Yum and Rendang without ever committing to one.
I’ll still eat it (it's KFC, after all), but I’m missing the days of the Korean Soy Garlic or that Crispy Mantou with Chili Crab sauce. Those were events. This? This is just another Thursday.
