Foodgasm: Mokky's Breakfast Pancake

Before I officially go all in on my healthy eating journey, I had to give myself one last hurrah — and surprise, it came in the form of pancakes. Now, let me just say: I’m a big breakfast kind of person. We’re talking nasi lemak with paru, some good ol’ lontong, or a comforting roti telur. Sweet breakfasts? Not my thing. Unless it's cereal. So when Feyy suggested we try the new Breakfast Pancake menu at Mokky’s Pizza, I was like, “Why are we eating dessert first thing in the morning?”
But, of course, curiosity (and a little peer pressure) won.
First Impressions: Pancake Party for Breakfast?
We headed to the Subang Parade branch and got there early — no queue, no fuss. (Pro tip: go early! A line started forming right after we sat down.) Also, parking was super easy because let’s be honest… Subang Parade isn’t exactly the busiest mall in town.
Looking through the menu, I was relieved to see some savoury options — because I just can’t start my day with maple syrup alone. I went for the two pancakes with chicken tenders and onion mustard, while Feyy got the classic original — fluffy pancakes topped with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
The Taste Test
Let me just say — the pancakes were surprisingly good. Fluffy, soft, and they didn’t feel like your usual overly sweet stack. The chicken tenders were crispy and well-seasoned, and the onion mustard sauce? Absolute game-changer. It pulled everything together — that tangy, savoury bite made the dish sing.
But — and this is important — the mustard sauce portion was too little. Once I ran out, it got a bit tough eating just plain chicken and pancake. Next time, I’m definitely asking for extra sauce on the side.
Final Verdict
So, would I go back? Absolutely.
While I may not be a pancake-for-breakfast kinda person, Mokky’s gave me something different — and I liked it. The savoury pancake combo totally worked, and now I’m curious to try the rest of their breakfast range.
If you’re a pancake lover (or even if you're a sceptic like me), Mokky’s Pizza Breakfast Pancake menu is worth a try. I went to the Subang Parade branch, and it was a smooth experience — great food, no wait, and easy parking. Just come early and maybe skip the sweet one if you're more into savoury like I am.
