Last week's elimination was probably one of the most touching ever in any drag race franchise. All of the queens were sobbing to see Mirage go home. It was even more sad when Mirage said she didn't make anyone proud. First of all, your talent show song has just passed 1mil stream; if anything, you have made everyone proud.
After the elimination, the queens sat around and talked about their feelings over the last challenge. Something was said and honestly, I understand the feeling of almost winning something but didn't. At the end of the day, you should be grateful that you are still in the competition. When we want to talk about our feelings, we also need to read the room and understand other's feelings as well. How can a girl whine about being in the top 3 while the rest of the girls are in the bottom 2 or even just safe? Not going to mention any names but you got the tea.
For this week, Rupaul entered the werkroom and announced the mini-challenge which was another photoshoot but this time, it was for the queen's memoir cover. Sapphira Cristal won the mini-challenge with her memoir titled "Throat Goat". After the mini-challenge, Ru announced that the queens would be having a girl group challenge. They would need to write their verses to 3 of Ru's songs from his new album "Black Butta". Sapphira who won the mini-challenge, Plasma who won last week's maxi-challenge and Geneva who survived last week's lipsync for your life were chosen as the team captains. Below are the girl group lineups and the songs they would perform.

Megami was picked last and she was bothered by it and she told her team how she was always picked last her whole life. I mean this was another staple of Drag Race. The queen who is picked last will be those who were mistreated back in the day. Drag Race, I'm getting tired of this storyline, someone better do something for upcoming seasons.
Anyway, Sapphira's and Plasma's groups were skeptical of Geneva's group because Geneva, Mhiya, and Megami all had been in the bottom for the past two weeks. So they were thinking that Geneva's group was already on a sinking ship. But Nymphia took the wheel of her group to make sure everyone was aligned and there to lift each other. On the elimination day, the queens performed and we can already see a clear winner.
On the runway, the category was Pussycat Wig. Let's talk about my top 3 looks of the night.
Nymphia Wind - This queen doesn't seem to know how to not bring it to the runway. She was wearing a traditional Chinese Cheongsam I guess. She did 3 wig reveals with the first one being a literal pussycat as a wig, it was then revealed to an intricate red pussycat wig that matched her red Cheongsam. Lastly, she pulled off the red pussycat wig to reveal a bedazzled vulva (pussy) with pubic hair behind her head. That was genius!
Sapphira Cristal - Another queen with a literal pussycat as her wig. But Sapphira was channeling Dr Evil from Austin Powers and she looked good in that grey structured dress.
Plasma - The concept was so cool! Also, this was a very different look or dare I say aesthetic for Plasma. She looked so whimsical with this Hermes God look.
I'm happy that they were judged as a group because Geneva's group was the most cohesive and put together as a girl group. No one was outshining each other and the choreography was seamless and neat. Good job Mhiya! With that being said, Geneva's group won the challenge and that means the rest of the queens were up for elimination.
The queens were also asked the golden question "Who should go home tonight and why?" Let's go through who the queens picked and why.
Sapphira picked Amanda because she thought Amanda's drag was not up to par. Morphine also chose Amanda because Amanda's look didn't meet the theme's brief. Q picked Amanda and Xunami because both queens haven't had an impact in the competition. Dawn picked Q because she was her biggest competition. Plasma picked Q based on this week's critiques. Amanda also picked Q based on this week's critiques. Xunami also picked Q same as Plasma and Amanda. Do we even need to talk about who Plane Jane picked?
After answering the question, Q and Amanda Tori Meating were announced as the bottom 2. They lipsynced to Icona Pop's "Emergency" who was also this week's guest judge. But before we get to the result, I would like to take a minute to say how gorgeous Aino looked this week! Stunning! Okay, so Rupaul has decided that it is time for Amanda Tori Meating to sashay away.
Now that Amanda is no longer around, I wonder who Plane Jane is going to bully next? Okay, bully is a strong word, but honestly? I feel like I get where Plane Jane is coming from but it seems like her choice of words was not that good. I mean, Plane was telling Amanda the truth. Amanda's looks were not up to par compared to the other girls and I think Plane was just trying to help Amanda see that and work more on her looks moving forward.
Anyway, it was sad to see Amanda go but I'm excited for next week because Law Roach is in the house!
