This week, the queens were challenged to a roast, but with a villainous twist! Season 17’s contestants had the honor (or horror) of roasting three iconic villains from RuPaul’s Drag Race: Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Plane Jane, and Kandy Muse.
Mini Challenge Madness: Michelle’s Revenge
Before the roast could begin, Michelle Visage had a little revenge in store for the queens. She reintroduced the Badonk Kadunk Tank—disguised as a mini-challenge, but in reality, an excuse to dunk every single queen into the water. Let’s be real, Michelle was living for this moment!
Werkroom Drama: The Roast Running Order Chaos
If there’s one thing RuPaul’s Drag Race loves, it’s a little pre-challenge drama—and this week delivered.
Last week’s winner, Jewels Sparkles, was tasked with arranging the roast sequence. After much deliberation, she decided on the following order:
Onya
Arrietty
Jewels Sparkles
Lana Ja’Rae
Sam Star
Lydia B Kollins
Suzie Toots
Lexi Love
Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Lexi Love asked to go last but was fuming when Jewels placed Suzie Toots right before her.
Let’s be real—Lexi would've bombed no matter where she was placed. Maybe she thought she’d do better if Arrietty went before her, but Arrietty didn’t want to go near the end either. Lana? Lydia? They both outperformed Lexi, so why is she even mad?
Honestly, I’m with Onya on this one—it was hard to watch Lexi and Arrietty gang up on Jewels, especially since Jewels has been nothing but kind all season.
The Roast: Who Burned and Who Got Burned?
Some queens brought the fire, while others barely kept the flame alive.
Who made me laugh the most?
Lydia B Kollins – A clear standout, her jokes were sharp and well-delivered.
Lana Ja’Rae – Great timing and hilarious punchlines.
The Villains – Honestly, they roasted the queens better than the queens roasted them!
Mistress Isabelle Brooks took shots at her Season 15 daughters, Lana and Arrietty.
Kandy Muse literally pointed at Arrietty and said, “You’re going home next.” Oof. Savage.
But let’s talk about the gag of the night—Arrietty stealing Jewels’ joke and leaving Jewels dumbfounded during her set. And yet, Jewels didn’t even bring it up during critiques?! This girl is just too pure for this competition.
Runway: Short Short Fantasy
The category was Short Short, and these three looks stood out:
Onya Nurve – Super creative take on short shorts. Loved the concept!
Arrietty – She never misses on the runway, and this week was no exception.
Lexi Love – The shredded short shorts cape was a moment.
Results: Who Sashayed Away?
RuPaul announced Lydia B Kollins as the challenge winner, which was well deserved!
The bottom two were Arrietty and Jewels Sparkles, lip-syncing to Beyoncé’s “Ya Ya”. Jewels was saved, and Arrietty was sent home.
Next Week: Acting Challenge Incoming! But Where’s the Girl Group Challenge?
With only seven queens left, I’m starting to worry—where is the girl group challenge?! Are they really going to cut it this season? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
What did you think of this week’s episode? Who were your favorite roast performances? Let’s discuss!
