Reading Challenge + The Eliminated Queens Design Challenge
The queens return to the werkroom after Athena Dion’s elimination, and the vibes are… complicated.
Several queens — led by Myki — admit they were surprised by the bottom two. Many thought Discord Addams would be lip-syncing alongside Athena instead of Juicy Love Dion, and a few queens agreed with that take.
Discord, however, handled it calmly. She asked why, listened to the feedback, and ultimately shrugged it off as opinions from her sisters.
One thing the queens did realize:
They’ve officially reached the halfway point of the competition with only seven queens left.
Mini Challenge: The Reading Challenge
Ru kicked off the episode by opening the library.
Because reading is what?
Fundamental.
The queens took turns reading each other, starting with Darlene Mitchell. But honestly? This year’s reading challenge felt a little… gentle. The reads weren’t as vicious as we usually see, and it almost felt like the queens were still in their kumbaya era.
Still, a few jokes landed.
🏆 Myki Meeks ultimately won the reading challenge, earning the advantage for the maxi challenge.
Maxi Challenge: Design a Party Look
This week’s challenge was a design task.
The queens had to create a party look using materials left behind by the eliminated queens.
Since Myki won the mini challenge, she got first pick of the luggage.
Material Assignments
Myki Meeks → Briar Blush
Kenya Pleaser → Vita VonTesse Starr
Darlene Mitchell → Athena Dion
Juicy Love Dion → Mia Starr
Jane Don’t → Ciara Myst
Nini Coco → DD Fuego
Discord Addams → Mandy Mango
When the queens opened their luggage, the reactions were… mixed.
Jane was initially optimistic when she saw rolls of fabric — until she unfolded them and realized they were mostly scraps.
Darlene also had high hopes for choosing Athena’s bag, assuming it would contain real usable fabric based on Athena’s runway looks. Unfortunately, what she found instead was non-stretch zebra print and plain black fabric.
Design challenge stress activated.
Guest Judge
This week’s guest judge was none other than legendary supermodel Iman.
And can we talk about how she literally does not age? Absolutely stunning.
Runway Highlights
The category was party-ready fashion made from the eliminated queens’ materials.
My Top 3 Looks
🥇 Jane Don’t
Considering the scraps she received, this was incredibly well constructed and polished.
🥈 Nini Coco
The print was loud, but the styling pulled everything together beautifully.
🥉 Darlene Mitchell
A simple but effective silhouette. Very Darlene. Though… I might swap that hair.
RuPaul Chooses Mess
Before announcing the results, RuPaul asked the dreaded question:
“Who should go home tonight and why?”
And the room got awkward.
Most queens chose Discord Addams, arguing that she had mostly been safe throughout the competition. The only other name mentioned was Darlene Mitchell, which — unsurprisingly — came from Discord.
But the real twist?
Ru made everyone answer… and then didn’t eliminate anyone.
Top Two Lip Sync for the Win
Instead of a bottom two, Ru declared that the queens had performed too well overall.
So this week became a Top 2 lip sync for the win.
Top 2:
Jane Don’t
Kenya Pleaser
They lip synced to Feels Like Another One by Patti LaBelle.
Kenya actually performed very well and held her own, but in the end…
🏆 Jane Don’t won the lip sync and secured her third challenge win.
At this point, Jane is looking very dangerous in this competition.
Final Thoughts
My Top 4 prediction still hasn’t changed:
Darlene Mitchell
Myki Meeks
Jane Don’t
Nini Coco
They still feel like the strongest overall contenders.
Next week’s episode looks incredible because Alyssa Edwards will be joining the judges’ panel for the Roast Challenge.
And if Drag Race history tells us anything… roasts can either crown you or completely destroy you.
So tell me:
Who are you rooting for to take the crown? 👑
And are you ready for the chaos of the roast next week?
