Saturday Style: Matcha Strawberry

If you’ve been scrolling through TikTok or IG throughout this fasting month, you definitely know what I’m talking about. Almost everywhere I look, people are talking about the "Strawberry Matcha" theme!

The combination of that soft, earthy green (Matcha) and the sweet, pastel pink (Strawberry) is actually quite cute and refreshing. It’s like a breather from the usual bold colors we see every year. Memang nampak aesthetic gila, especially for the "OOTD" shots later on.

My Take? I’m Skipping the Hype!

But for me this year? I’m staying out of the Strawberry Matcha lane. 🙅‍♀️ Honestly, I decided to be a bit more mindful with my spending this time around. Usually, I’d be the one busy tailoring my own baju—pilih kain, design sendiri, the whole process. But this year, life happened. Tak sempat nak menjahit plus I really want to save some money.

Recycling is the New Trendy

So, I’ll be rocking my baju-baju lama je for this Raya. And honestly? There’s nothing wrong with that! Ada banyak baju yang I pakai sekali dua je before this, so why not give them another chance to shine, right? ♻️👗

Sometimes we get so caught up in the "viral themes" and "new baju" till we forget that Raya is actually about the feelings, the food (hello, Lodeh extra tempe!), and the people we love. No new baju? No problem! As long as we look neat and feel comfortable, it’s all good.

Saving for the Future

Being "berjimat" doesn't mean we’re being boring. It’s just about setting priorities. I’d rather keep that extra cash for a rainy day or for a nice treat for the family later on. Plus, recycling clothes is way more sustainable anyway!
