Hey everyone! If you’ve been following my #METRaya2025 journey, you know I’ve been hard at work bringing my designs to life. And if you’re just joining in—welcome! This year, my theme is Inspiring Icons, where I’ll be creating looks inspired by three legendary fashion houses. I won’t reveal which ones just yet, but here’s a little hint: they hail from France and Italy.
Now, let’s talk about progress. I’ve finalized my designs (yay!), and the fabrics have been cut and prepped—which honestly, feels like a major milestone. The next step? Stitching everything together to create the final garments. The challenge, though, is time. With my full-time job and squeezing in workouts (gotta shed a little weight before Raya!), I only have weekends to dedicate to this project. That means long nights, a lot of trial and error, and fingers crossed that everything turns out as I envision.
I’m giving myself until next week to finish at least the first round of outfits—because if things don’t work out as planned, I want some buffer time to adjust or start fresh. No pressure, right? 😅
