Why I Want to Start The F Word

Some ideas stay in your head for years. They visit you quietly, return when life feels uncertain, and whisper louder whenever you see something missing in the world. The F Word is one of those ideas for me.

For a long time, fashion has been more than clothing in my life. It has been confidence when I had none. It has been creativity when I felt stuck. It has been therapy during difficult seasons. It has been a way to express who I am without needing to explain myself.

That is why I want to start The F Word.

What Does The F Word Mean?

The name is playful, bold, and personal.

Yes, it’s a wordplay on my name Faiz.

Yes, it hints at Fashion.

And yes, it carries a little attitude.

Because fashion should never feel too serious, too exclusive, or too intimidating. It should feel exciting. It should make people feel something. It should spark confidence, curiosity, and joy.

The F Word is my way of saying fashion can be expressive, emotional, aspirational, and still approachable.

I Want to Build What I Wish Existed

I’ve always admired brands that feel designer-led but still wearable in real life. Pieces that look elevated without making people feel shut out. Clothing that feels stylish but still practical for our weather, our lifestyle, and our realities.

Too often, people think they must choose one of two extremes:

  • Basic and forgettable

  • Expensive and unreachable

I want The F Word to live in the middle.

A brand that feels premium, thoughtful, and stylish — but still welcoming. A brand where someone can wear one piece and instantly feel sharper, more attractive, more confident.

Fashion Helped Me Through Difficult Times

Life hasn’t always been linear for me. Career setbacks, financial stress, uncertainty — I’ve had my share of those moments. Through all of it, fashion remained one of the few things that kept inspiring me.

Even when I had nothing figured out, I still had taste.

Even when I felt lost, I still had vision.

Even when life felt messy, I still believed in creating something beautiful.

The F Word is born from that feeling.

It is not just a business idea. It is proof that difficult chapters do not cancel your dreams.

I Want to Create for Real People

I’m not interested in making clothes only for perfect bodies, perfect lives, or perfect feeds.

I want to create for people who want to feel good where they are right now.

People going to work.

People attending Raya gatherings.

People rebuilding confidence after a hard year.

People who love style but still care about comfort.

People who want compliments without trying too hard.

That, to me, is powerful fashion.

I Want to Be Proudly Local

There is something beautiful happening with Malaysian brands right now. Local labels are getting stronger, sharper, and more ambitious. People are learning that local does not mean lesser.

I want The F Word to be part of that new chapter.

To build something proudly Malaysian with quality, identity, and style. Something people here can wear proudly — and maybe one day something the world notices too.

Finally...

Why do I want to start The F Word?

Because I have something to say.

Because fashion changed my life in small but meaningful ways.

Because I know there are people who want to feel seen, stylish, and confident.

Because dreams don’t disappear just because life got complicated.

And maybe most importantly:

Because if I don’t try, I’ll always wonder what could have been.

The F Word is still a dream today.

But every brand starts there first.
