I don’t know what it is, but every time Disclosure drops something new, it immediately transports me back to 2012 — the year Latch came out and completely changed the way I listened to electronic music. That track had such a distinct sound, and it introduced me to this whole world of beats that felt emotional yet dancey at the same time. Then of course came Help Me Lose My Mind with London Grammar and my personal all-time fave Magnets with Lorde.
But somewhere along the way, they kinda drifted out of my everyday playlist. Not because the music wasn’t good, but maybe life just got louder — you know how it is. And then suddenly, out of nowhere… Deeper.
The moment I pressed play, my brain went, “Wait… this sounds familiar.”
It has that exact energy that made me fall in love with Disclosure in the first place. The way the beat builds, the rhythm, the groove — it’s giving Latch vibes but in a grown-up, refined way. And Leon Thomas absolutely glides on this track.
Lyrically? I’ll be honest — that’s never why I listen to Disclosure. What hooks me every single time is the beat, the mood, that hypnotic loop that somehow makes you feel like you're floating. Their music always has this trance-like quality, and Deeper is no different. It’s fresh but familiar, new but classic Disclosure.
And honestly? I’m obsessed.
It feels like they’re tapping back into the exact sound that made them special in the first place — and I’m so here for it.
What do you guys think? Does Deeper give you that early-Disclosure nostalgia too?
