Song Of The Week: Hello - Martin Solveig & Dragonette

I don’t know why, but lately I’ve been digging into the soundtrack of my early 20s, and Hello by Martin Solveig & Dragonette has been on repeat. It’s wild how an upbeat, feel-good track can somehow make you want to dance and cry at the same time.
Maybe it’s because this song reminds me of when life felt… lighter. Laidback. When my biggest worry was where to hang out on the weekend or which outfit to wear for a night out. Back then, everything felt possible, and the weight of “adulting” hadn’t fully landed yet.
Fast forward to now, I’ve been out of a job for two months, my savings are slowly disappearing, and I’m standing at this crossroad where I could finally start my own social media house. I have the plans. The ideas. The vision. The only thing missing? That leap of confidence to go all in.
Listening to Hello now, it’s more than just a nostalgic bop, it’s a reminder of that fearless, carefree version of me. And maybe… just maybe… I need to channel that same energy to take the jump I’ve been avoiding.
Because the truth is, the only person stopping me from saying “hello” to my next chapter is me.
