Cardi B is back with her latest single, Imaginary Playerz, the second official single (or fourth, if we count WAP and Up) from her upcoming album. The track samples Jay-Z’s 1997 classic Imaginary Players, and Cardi flips it into something bold, unapologetic, and dripping with her signature energy.

I honestly love it when women step up and show exactly who the boss is. I’ve always had a thing for strong, independent women. Women who know what they want know they’re the baddest and aren’t afraid to own it. That’s exactly what Cardi embodies in this track: confidence, power, and no room for doubt.

Since its release last week, this song has been the soundtrack to my days. And if this is a taste of what her new album is bringing, then I already know it’s going to be lit.

Also, can we talk about Cardi being the first female rapper on the cover of Vogue? That’s history. That’s power. That’s the definition of leveling up.

What about you, Bardi Gang — what do you think of this song?
