Song Of The Week: It Feels So Good - Sonique

Just like the title says, It Feels So Good! I actually just rediscovered this gem through TikTok the other day. I was scrolling casually when I stumbled upon this adorable puppy saying his mum is the singer of this song, and I was like, “Wait a minute… this sounds so familiar!”

Suddenly, it all came rushing back. The year was 1998, I was 7 years old, and my favorite TV channels were Cartoon Network and MTV (but mostly MTV, because let’s be honest, I was obsessed with the Spice Girls). I used to sit there waiting for their songs to come on, and while waiting, I’d catch other hits from that era, It Feels So Good being one of them.

Listening to it now instantly transports me to that time in my life, the time I discovered my love for art and creativity through music videos. The feeling of nostalgia hits hard, but in the best way possible. There’s just something magical about songs from that era; they capture emotions that never fade with time.
