Lady Gaga really didn’t have to go this hard for a “bonus track,” but she did anyway. Kill for Love, previously only available as a physical-only bonus on Mayhem, is finally on digital platforms alongside Can’t Stop the High and The Dead Dance. And honestly? This one is a masterpiece in its own right.

From the very first few seconds, the opening of Kill for Love instantly reminded me of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. It has that same eerie, suspenseful build-up that hooks you in and makes you wonder what’s about to happen next. Then Gaga takes it somewhere completely her own dark, moody, and cinematic.

Compared to the wild, genre-bending energy of Can’t Stop the High, Kill for Love feels heavier, more dramatic, and almost theatrical. It’s the kind of track that pulls you into a world of obsession and passion, where love becomes both a weapon and a reason to keep fighting. That’s Gaga’s magic, she makes something intense feel so personal yet so universal.

Hearing this on streaming for the first time gave me chills. I’ve always thought Gaga shines the most when she leans into these dramatic, storytelling-driven songs, and Kill for Love proves it once again. It’s haunting, it’s powerful, and it’s another reminder that Gaga never wastes a track, even when it’s labeled a “bonus.”

Little Monsters, what’s your take? Do you think Kill for Love should’ve been part of the original Mayhem track list too?
