Today I want to talk about no na, a girl group from Indonesia, and their new song titled “Work.”
Honestly, when I first saw a clip of this song on Twitter, I genuinely thought they were some international girl group — like Katseye or something along that lane. The styling, the confidence, the way the video was shot… everything screamed global pop act. Then I saw the name no na, and it immediately clicked — wait, these girls are from Indonesia.
I had to do a double take.
From what I know, they only debuted fairly recently — I think sometime last year — which makes this even more impressive. Because let me tell you, these girls are polished. The song? Tight. Catchy. Assertive. The visuals? Clean, confident, and very intentional. This isn’t giving “new group finding their footing” energy at all. This is giving “we know exactly who we are” energy.
And can we talk about the attitude of “Work”? It’s bold without trying too hard, confident without being cringey, and cool without feeling forced. They’re not playing small, and I love that for them.
What excites me the most is seeing SEA talents getting their well-deserved flowers on a global scale. It feels like we’re finally at a point where people are paying attention — not out of novelty, but because the quality is genuinely there. First Dolla, and now no na? Yeah… the girls are working.
And honestly? As someone from this region, it makes me proud. Representation matters, but excellence matters even more — and no na is delivering both.
Girls, work. 👏
