Little Monsters, rejoice! Mother has done it again. The nominations for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are out, and Lady Gaga is this year’s most nominated artist, racking up an incredible 12 nominations!

As thrilled as I am to see Gaga get this much love, I’ll be honest, I’m a little bummed that Die With A Smile was chosen for Video of the Year instead of Abracadabra. Don’t get me wrong, Die With A Smile absolutely deserves its spot in Song of the Year (the impact it had? unmatched!), but when it comes to Video of the Year, I really feel Abracadabra had the stronger visuals, story, and artistry.

But hey, I’m not going to complain too much when Mother is out here dominating award season like it’s her natural habitat. With Mayhem still riding high, I cannot wait to see how the Grammys play out next. Could we be looking at another Gaga sweep? Fingers crossed!
