What's The Tea: LG7 Updates!

Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated 7th studio album, LG7, has finally been announced, and fans worldwide are buzzing with excitement. Set for release in February 2025, this album marks her longest gap between projects—five years since Chromatica. In her recent Vogue October interview, Gaga hinted at what’s to come, and the internet has been swirling with leaks of "alleged" songs from LG7, raising expectations sky-high. As a long-time fan, I’m beyond thrilled, especially because it seems like LG7 will bring Gaga back to her pop roots in a big way. Much of that push for pop music comes from her fiancé, Michael, who has reportedly been encouraging her to return to the sound we all fell in love with. So thank you, Michael, for being a driving force behind this next chapter in Gaga’s musical journey!

So far, there haven’t been any confirmed rumors about collaborations for the album, but I’ve got my hopes high. First and foremost, I’d love to see a sequel to Telephone. The original is such an iconic moment in Gaga’s discography, and a continuation of that story would be a dream come true. I’m also crossing my fingers for a collaboration with a female rapper—preferably Cardi B, who’s a self-proclaimed Little Monster. It would be the perfect way to blend Cardi’s infectious energy with Gaga’s pop magic. And while we’re talking dream collabs, wouldn’t it be epic to see Gaga team up with one of her pop contemporaries, like Kesha or even the legendary Britney Spears? A moment like that would be monumental for pop culture.

As much as I admire all of Gaga’s other ventures—whether it's acting, her beauty line, or her business acumen—nothing quite compares to the excitement I feel when she returns to music. She’s a multi-talented artist who shines in everything she does, but for me, her music has always been at the core of who she is. Gaga as a performer and singer is how I first connected with her, and that’s what I’m most looking forward to with LG7. I have no doubt it will be worth the wait, and I’m ready to see what new heights she’ll reach with this album.

February 2025 can’t come soon enough!
