Anna is an animal lover. She owns a farm where she cares for all the animals she rescued. Out of all animal, Anna has a special interest with birds, especially Kingfishers. One morning, while Anna was walking along the river on her way to the town. She stumbled upon an injured Kingfisher. She was so excited to finally see a Kingfisher up close and to touch it. "Oh dear, it seems like you've broken your wings" said Anna. So she picked up the injured Kingfisher and brought it back to her farm.
Anna kept the injured Kingfisher inside her tiny shed and next to her bed. She was so excited that she could barely even sleep. She was awake all night to keep an eye and cared for the injured Kingfisher. She gave it water to drink and some tadpoles to feed the Kingfisher. She never thought that she could finally cared for her favorite bird.
It took almost two weeks for the Kingfisher to recover. Along that period, Anna has grown fond to it and named the Kingfisher as William. Within that two weeks, Anna took William out in the farm and trying to make him fly again, but William was still weak to fly. One moment Anna thought that it was good that William couldn't fly so she will have more time caring for him. After all, it is not very often for her to be this close to a Kingfisher.
After two weeks, William starts to flap his wings. Anna was so happy to see this recovery and she picked William up and brought him out to the open. Anna gave William a smooch and said "Fly now William, you've recovered well". As soon as William flew away into the sky, Anna started to cry knowing that it might be the last time she sees William.
As days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months, and months turn to years. Anna has never encountered or see another Kingfisher after William. As devastated as she is, Anna is always grateful to be given the chance to care for something she loves the most. Even now, she will always care for the creatures that need her help and attention regardless of whether they'll stay or leave because that is who she really is.
P/S: I don't need to help people but I'm happy to help because that's who I am.
