Hi guys, so ahad lepas telah berlangsungnya one of the most prestigious awards in Malaysia iaitu Anugerah Juara Lagu yang ke-38. Sebenarnya tak tau pun ada AJL malam tu, tapi nampak orang update sana sini lepastu sajalah nak tengok AJL secara langsung di streaming sebab memang dah lama tak tengok AJL. Lupa dah when was the last time I was genuinely excited for AJL.
To be honest lah eh, I've never heard any of the songs yang bertanding malam tu. Kalau ada pun lagu santai tu lah and itu pun sebab viral dekat TikTok, but the rest? memang first time dengar malam tu. So I cannot really vibe to the song but I cubalah untuk enjoy the performance. I didn't know any of the songs punya words and to me lagu-lagu malam tu dengar lebih kurang je. Sebab tu lah I'm just watching to see persembahan dorang je.
Maybe because I dah lama tak dengar radio and artis-artis melayu yang I dengar when I was growing up pun dah tak ada lagu baru, if ada pun tak sesedap dulu. I think my knowledge untuk lagu-lagu melayu setakat tahun awal 2010 macam tu kot. Then streaming platform macam Joox, Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube semua dah jadi mainstream, I memang tak buka radio and even streaming pun I save lagu-lagu melayu yang I biasa dengar so no Aina Abdul, no Ernie Zakri and none of the songs and artis yang bertanding malam tu punya lagu ada dalam playlist.
I don't know why actually because I feel like lagu-lagu melayu sekarang ni dia macam more kepada nak prove that you are a great vocalist or the songs are too deep because you are trying to show people that you are a great lyricist. Lagu-lagu sebelum ni semua to me were easy on the ears and ever green lah. Dengar banyak kali pun tak bosan.
Anyways, let's talk about AJL 38 lah eh. All in all, like I said earlier I wasn't able to enjoy the show as much so I was a little bit bored and caught myself watching something else on my phone. Sedar-sedar je dah and dah umumkan pemenang pun. So let's recap the winners of AJL 38 haritu.

Basically, the night was dominated by Aina Abdul and Aisha Retno. Even though the grand prize winner is Amir Jahari, I feel like people were more excited to see Aisha Retno on the stage. Anyway, seperti biasalah kan tak semua orang akan puas hati dengan apa-apa keputusan and malam tu tak ada exception and orang pertikaikan kenapa Ernie tak dapat vokal terbaik. I don't want to cakap banyak on this matter sebab my telinga adalah telinga rakyat jelata yang tak reti beza range vokal and teknik. But one thing for sure, kalau suara tak sedap tu I will know lah.
So yeah itu je lah kot ulasan I for AJL 38. Congratulations to all the winners and hopefully it will motivate them to do even better in the future. Korang okay ke dengan keputusan juri?
