Hey everyone! As usual for the final Monday of the month, it’s time for another round of WDWN: What’s Done, What’s Next. I started this little series last month as a way to pause, reflect, and realign myself before stepping into a new month. So here we go, October edition.
💥 What’s Done
October was… packed. Like really packed. It felt like one event after another, and while it was chaotic, it was also rewarding to be part of so many great moments.
First up, KLSCM 2025. My very first one! Covering this event was definitely one for the books. The energy, the crowd, the runners, it was just something else.
Then came The Great Outdoor Expo 2025, which was equally exciting in a totally different way. Being surrounded by people who love adventure, sports, and the outdoors gave me a new appreciation for how diverse event audiences can be.
Next, we had AirAsia Hausboom Festival 2025, this one was pure fun! The vibes were light, everyone was in a good mood, and it reminded me how cool it is to see people connecting over music, drinks, and good times.
And just when I thought the month was slowing down, boom! Garmin Run Asia Expo happened. Another intense one, but it was nice seeing the running community come together and celebrate their passion.
But if I’m being honest, somewhere in between all that, I started to feel the cracks. The pressure, the deadlines, the back-to-back events, it all got to me a little. And that’s okay. It’s part of learning how to balance, manage, and find breathing space even in chaos.
🌱 What’s Next
For November, my focus is a little more inward. I’m taking time to rewire my brain for work, learning how to not just survive the busyness, but to actually navigate it better.
I’ve also found a new obsession lately, journaling. It’s been helping me slow down and put my thoughts into perspective. It’s almost therapeutic to write things down and see how far I’ve come (or how far I’ve drifted).
Lastly, I’m trying to be more intentional with words of affirmation. Not just towards others, but for myself too. To remind myself that I’m doing my best, and that’s enough.
So that’s what’s been done, and what’s next.
Here’s to closing October with gratitude and stepping into November with a clearer head, a stronger mindset, and maybe a little more kindness towards myself.
