It has been years since my last movie review. I don't even remember what was the last movie I reviewed. So now I'm going to give you a spoiler free review on Star Wars Episode VIII : The Last Jedi.
As an avid Star Wars Movie fan, I'm looking forward to watch this movie since they've announced a new set of trilogy taking place 30 years after Episode VI. The Force Awakens did not disappoint with the introductions of new characters which will be the new focus of the Star Wars Legacy. The Last Jedi did just the same and even better. The second installment of the trilogy tells the story of Rey in search of Luke Skywalker in order to understand the force that is inside her. This is all happening while the resistance let by Princess Leia Organa are escaping their base and in search of a new base planet as the first order is now on their tail trying to wipe out the entire resistance.
This movie really shows the conflict that have been linked between the force and the struggle of a Jedi trying to keep themselves from turning into the dark side. The movie tells the danger of a new Jedi turning into the dark side if they don't know how to control the force within them. As we all know, Kylo Ren has joined the dark side and trying to continue what is left by his grandfather Darth Vader. But Rey is trying to help get Kylo Ren back on track by learning more about the force with Luke Skywalker.
The family bond in this movie is strong and we can see that between Kylo Ren and his mother Leia Organa. We also get to see The Last Jedi in action and also a possible new generation of resistance rebellions. The returning of familiar face in this movie also brings back the memory of the original Star Wars trilogy and I must say that it almost bring tears to my eyes.
All in all, this movie is great and amazing in every aspect. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
P/S: Porgs are cute but it is not necessary I think.
