It's a Disney movie and it is made for people to enjoy. The story line is very straight-forward because again it is a Disney movie, they made it for the kids to understand. So this time, the movie goes deeper into Maleficent's origin. What she is and where she comes from.
Angelina Jolie look so stunning in this movie and not a single second that she looked not stunning. She can wear whatever and it looks high fashion. I mean apart from Cruella De Vil who is literally a fashion enthusiast, the most fashionable Disney villain would be Maleficent (at least in this movie). Let's talk about the movie, for me personally, I really enjoy the visuals and the costume and that's about it. Other than that, this movie feels like it was rushed and they have to put everything within 2 hours or so.
Some of the characters are not well develop and to the point that I was asking myself, why is that character even doing there? I mean if the characters weren't there, it doesn't change the story at all. Some of the characters didn't leave enough impact for me to actually pay attention to them. But what I like about this movie is that the message is very well delivered. The love and sacrifice of a woman called mother. There are two types of mother in this movie where both of them have their own motivation in doing what they thing is best for their child.
I'm never a fan of Aurora before and I hate her even more in this movie. Not because of the actor herself but the character, who the hell she thinks she is? Of course she is the Queen of Moor but that's because Maleficent made her. But I applaud this movie for showing how love can both destroy and strengthen the relationship of two people or in this case two kingdom. I shed a tear or two when watching this movie because I hate seeing cute things die (not a spoiler). Again as I said earlier, this movie is made for people to enjoy and I had a good time watching it. I'll give it a 3.5 stars for the story-line and infinity stars for Angelina Jolie as Maleficent! That smile!!!
P/S: I can't wait for Mulan!
